This computer game was constructed within a time frame of 1.5 weeks. Leading up to the moment of exhibition, 12 Moons was conceived as an experiment in poststructuralism, evolving core conceptual directives, and a delayering process of exploring minimalism. The narrative traces a humble 1950s American family through the mundane of their casual conversations each Sunday evening at a lonely diner. The plot turns surreal as the world around them blurs by, yet they never age, remaining the same quintessential code to test against for what is the perpetual appropriation of past legacies in modern society. It is up to the player to guide them like fate's hand in awareness of these blinding times so they obtain the game's happy ending. As opposed its more negative conclusion.

Animation, music, programming, & dialogue by Benjamin Poynter. 2012.
